Worldwide Adventures!

Imaginative Traveller tours are a great way to get to the heart of a country - whether you are a seasoned traveller looking for new destinations or new to adventure travel, we have people from all around the world and all walks of life on our fantastic tours!

But don't let us tell you - here's what some of our customers say about their Imaginative adventures:

Olivia Burnand - Amongst the Maharajahs

In one word, it was brilliant !!! The accommodation was really great and I loved every place we stayed with a special mention for the hotel in Udaipur and Bijaipur. But in fact they were all very good and if I would go back to Rajasthan, I would go to these hotels again...

I'm one of your "colleague", as I'm also a travel agent (but mainly for business traveller) so I know it's hard to organize a trip like this with 10-12 people but I was really impressed by the organization . This is not my first time travelling with you and it's definitely not the last !!

I also have to tell you that our Tour Leader Pushpendra was amazing!! He seems to know every people in Rajasthan, as everytime we were going somewhere he met one of his friend/family member or school mate... It was really interesting to share this trip with a realy Rajasthani guide and this added a lot to the trip.

It's a very good tour and I would recommend it to anyone with Pushpendra as a guide !! I thought I would say that because a lot is being said about Sameer and his special tour, but we have to remember that the other guides are great as well .....

Kate Denman who travelled on Egypt Unveiled and Jordan Connection

The Egypt tour especially was absolutely fabulous - I can't praise the company and the tour leader enough (we were lucky enough to have an Egyptian tour leader) and I've been recommending the tour company to everyone.  Jordan was great too - although it would be difficult to match the Egypt tour! I just can't believe all the places I've been to in the last 5-6 weeks, things I've wanted to see all my life!

I was wondering what the M/S Melodie would be like given that it was one of the cheaper tours around but it was fantastic, the staff on the boat were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us all, and the food was marvellous - I went over there expecting to lose a bit of weight through not eating - well, that didn't happen! It was wonderful sitting on the top deck of the boat watching the Nile life drift by.

Family Adventures:

Vanessa Chadwick who travelled on Pharoahs and Felucca's with her husband and 2 teenage sons in November 2008

What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Galloping down the road on donkeys towards the Valley of the Kings (none of us having ridden donkeys before!).

What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Ensure you allow enough cash for all the entrance fees and extras - if you don't do them all, you'll have more to spend on souvenirs, but cash machines (particularly in the Aswan area) were hard to find.

Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
I hope it benefitted the local people - all the guides and various transport operators (train, coach, bus, cab, motorboat etc) were all local. There were a lot of miles done by bus, but once at a destination it was down to more environmentally friendly methods (walking, felucca, camel, donkey etc).

Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
An excellent adventure for all the family. Not a holiday for those who like a fortnight on a sunbed - we've all come home for a rest!

Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Five star! Some wonderful memories, I would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend

And here's what some of our other travellers said:

Chinese Crackers - Jim Rhatigan who travelled with his family in July 2007

"We had an absolutely brilliant holiday in China and we have some great memories. Everything ran like clockwork and it was obvious that a lot of work was being done in the background. I would like to say a particular word about our tour guide, Pong. He was excellent. He was patient, thoughtful, creative and much much more. I think he went way beyond the limits of his responsibility for us, making sure that we were comfortable at all times, that we knew what the arrangements were etc.. He also showed great skill in managing quite a diverse group, with different interests, needs and levels of tolerance. His people management skills were very impressive.

We are in the process of deciding what we will do next year at this stage - summer holidays have a way of keeping you going during the long winter. We will definately travel with Imaginative Traveller again and would recommend it to friends."

Fabulous Thailand - Sarah Smith who travelled with her family in February 2007

"What a lovely email to receive on our return - thank you! Thailand was amazing, the kids coped really well being out of their comfort zone (we banned iPods and DS!) and Andy and I feel like we actually have had a holiday.  In fact Andy and I are plotting our next escape - thinking we might leave the kids at home. Can't speak highly enough of Imaginative Traveller from my first contact with you, through the whole process and down to our fabulous local guides and the wonderful Vaughan, our tour leader. I know we will be in touch again."

Vietnam Discovery - Janie Golding who travelled with her family in November 2004

"I am just writing to let you know that my daughter and I have just returned from Vietnam and that we had a WONDERFUL time. I thought you might like a little feedback...
Everything worked as it should - someone was there to pick us up at the airport and the hotel was expecting us which is always a good start!  The hotels were all good standard, clean, nice facilities and convenient locations to major attractions. The tour guide, Ian Richards, was excellent - friendly, helpful and very pleasant company - seeing as how he only had the two of us to look after it was good that we did get on well! The highlights would definitely have been the Halong Bay cruise but we also really enjoyed Hoi An and the Mekong Delta. Every place actually had its highlights (although the overnight train could really best be described as an "experience"!) I swear the train driver drove like the motorcyclists - with his hand on the horn all night long! It was a great trip - Vietnam is a fascinating destination, and one of the best holidays I have had for a very long time. I would certainly not hesitate to travel with Imaginative Traveller again.

Thanks for all of this wonderful feedback.
