Hi,
I'm booked on the sri lanka dsicovery tour in april and just reading through the special requirements it says we need a sleeping sheet for camping. Can anyone advise me on what type of mat we need please?
Is it a camping mat a kind of foam rolled mat or a waterproof ground sheet?
Thanks
Sam

I'm now thinking it may be more of a cotton or silk sleeping bag liner type thing that you can sleep in?
or a sleep sack as some of the websites are calling it?
Sam
Hi Sam,
Thank you for your posts.
Yes - your second post is closer to the mark as a sleeping sheet would be a silk or cotton liner which is a bit like a very thin sleeping bag or a bit like a duvet cover!
The silk ones are much lighter and smaller to carry around as they fold up so tiny, but can be much more expensive than the cotton ones. The cotton sleeping sheets are still fairly small once folded and you can also get them pre-impregnated with insect repellent.
You can buy them from any high street camping shop, or take a look at www.imaginative-gear.com.
Best wishes,
Kelly

Kelly, have been reading the website for several years and until you pointed out about "Imaginative Gear" I hadn't noticed it on the website. I have now added it as a "favourite".
You have great products and I have been able to review your website (including the silk bag liner) and other items and found comparable items here in Canada made by the same manufacturers. Thanks again for drawing this to reader's attention!
Thanks MAB225!
Imaginative Gear is new! So don't worry - you haven't been missing out all this time. It has just been added over the last few weeks.
Happy shopping!
