Latest Travel Advice

The safety of all our travellers is extremely important to us. When events outside of our control affect the safety and security of our passengers, we monitor the situation very closely and make appropriate changes to our itineraries if necessary. In extreme cases we may cancel
some departures, though this is rare

We endeavour to keep this page as current as the situation allows. Please understand that sometimes communication to affected areas can be disrupted, and so it takes time to get accurate information about the situation on the ground.

The updates below represent the latest reliable information we have available to us from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Egypt

There are NO restrictions in place

We have cancelled tours for departures up to and including Thursday 31 March 2011. This may include multi-country tours that travel to Egypt within this time frame.

As of 01 April 2011 we will be operating normal scheduled departures but we will of course continue to closely monitor the situation and review this advice if need be.

For multi-country trips including travel to Egypt, it may be possible to continue travel on a portion of the trip and we can assist with making the necessary arrangements.

The earthquake and subsequent tsunami that struck the North East Coast of Japan on Friday 11 March has resulted in a huge loss of life and has caused major damage to infrastructure including several nuclear power stations.

Due to the ongoing instability of the situation, the Foreign Office is now advising against all non essential travel to Tokyo and north east Japan.

Status of Imaginative Traveller tours to Japan:

We have cancelled the following departures:

Japan Revealed (PCJR) - departing 26 March 2011
