Imaginative travellers who are planning a small group or family action holiday might want to consider visiting Malaysia, following comments from its tourist board.
STA Travel recently revealed that Kuala Lumpur is the cheapest trip location in the world when it comes to the total price of a meal in a local restaurant, pint of beer, night in a hostel, bus ride and sight-seeing tour.
And Abdul Rauf Abu Hassan, UK and Ireland director at Tourism Malaysia, commented the area offers visitors more than just value for money.
"No other Asian destination can offer such a diverse heritage and unique culture as Kuala Lumpur," he said.
He added: "The city is Asia in a nutshell, with Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous influences."
Furthermore, Mr Hassan recommended explorers to head to Merdeka Square if they want to discover the city, before visiting the Islamic Arts Museum and Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens.
