On our travels through Tamil Nadu and Kerala we uncover all the classic highlights of southern India. Starting from our initial base, the beachside retreat of Mamallapuram, we then travel to explore Pondicherry and the historic temple city of Madurai. Next is tropical and lush Kerala, where we enjoy a relaxing beach stop in Varkala before taking to the rural palm-fringed backwaters around Alleppey on a fascinating boat ride.
