This trip is perfect for those with limited time but who would like to experience the best of Thailand. You travel on a wide variety of local transport, including train, bus, songthaew and tuk-tuk, and stay in an interesting mix of hotels and guesthouses. You cycle around the ancient temples of Thailand’s first capital, Sukhothai, and spend a night at the Thai Elephant Conservation Centre in Lampang, where you get up-close to these majestic animals. You also visit hill tribe villages in the north and get to meet the diverse and colourful people who inhabit this region.
