The southern region of Argentina and Chile offers travellers some of the most spectacular scenery on the South American continent. The Patagonian Andes consist of towering granite peaks, pristine lakes and massive glaciers. The town of El Chalten is our base for some great day hikes to Fitz Roy Base Camp, Laguna de los Tres and Cerro Torre. The sight and sound of the Moreno Glacier, as it makes its torturously slow advance across a five-kilometre front, will leave you breathless. Across the border in Chile, we enjoy some great day treks through the Paine National Park with its magnificent wildlife and the incredible Towers of Paine.
Patagonian Highlights
Finally, at the tip of the continent, we explore the world's southernmost city – Ushuaia. A boat trip exploring the tiny islands of Beagle Channel is a delightful way to conclude our adventure.

Trip Itinerary
- Day 1-2Arrive in Buenos Aires and transfer to hotel. Sightseeing tour.
- Day 3Fly to El Calafate, then drive to El Chalten.
- Day 4Trek to the Laguna de los Tres and the Fitz Roy Base Camp.
- Day 5Free Day for optional treks or Viedma Glacier excursion. Return to El Calafate.
- Day 6Full-day excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier.
- Day 7Drive to the Torres del Paine National Park.
- Day 8-9Full-day trekking including Towers of Paine, the Waterfall Salto Grande and the Grey Lake. Drive to Puerto Natales.
- Day 10Drive to Punta Arenas. Afternoon walking tour.
- Day 11Continue by road to Ushuaia on Tierra del Fuego Island.
- Day 12Boat trip on the Beagle Channel exploring the islands and rookeries.
- Day 13Fly to Buenos Aires where trip ends on arrival.
